CUSP Curriculum
On our Monday INSET day, teachers had a fabulous training session delivered by a Unity Schools Partnership Curriculum specialist.
As a school we teach English, history, geography and science from CUSP and we are a member school of the Unity Schools Partnership. The knowledge and skills within the curriculum is incredibly well sequenced so that children can build deep knowledge over time. Teachers really enjoyed such beneficial professional development.
CUSP is underpinned by evidence based research and allows children to make strong connections with previous learning. It also allows structured teaching with explicit teaching and opportunities to develop and apply the learning independently. Learning follows a sequence of 'Explain, Example, Attempt, Apply and Challenge.'
We would very much like to share more information about our curriculum with parents and carers so that you can learn more about CUSP and how it works in practice. You can also see some examples in some of the photos below.
We will be holding a CUSP curriculum workshop for parents and carers at the start of Term 5 on Monday 22nd April at 3 p.m. if you would like to find out more about our curriculum.
