Orange Class

Welcome to Orange Class!

Welcome to our class page. My name is Miss Brady and I am the class teacher in Orange Class.

I work alongside Mrs Thomas who is our wonderful teaching assistant.

We have an exciting year of learning ahead of us with many new topics to explore such as The Victorians, Ancient Egyptians, Monarchs and many more! I particularly enjoy teaching English and History and love to read, involve drama in our lessons and explore a range of different books and ideas that we can share together as a class.

There are also many exciting opportunities to look forward to in Orange Class, such as Maypole dancing on the village green on Mayday and our residential trip to Kingswood which the children always enjoy!

Myself and Mrs Thomas are a dedicated team and are always striving to help Orange Class fulfil their full potential.

Dear Parents,

PE Kits

Please make sure that your child has their full PE kit in school at ALL times. At the very least they should have T-shirt, shorts and plimsolls in school. They will need the kits for both Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons.

Each Friday, your child will be given 7 statutory words (that may include a maths term) and 7 words from a spelling pattern. I will then add on 2 extra words based on the spelling pattern in their test each week to make 16 spellings.

Times tables

We will be doing times table challenges most Tuesdays. Times tables are extremely important in their numeracy and are linked to lots of topics in the curriculum e.g. division, fractions. Please encourage your child to practise daily at home. As well as this, the children now have their TTRS logins and are set 15 new practice sets to be complete by each Wednesday.

Bug Club

Children have been allocated books which they can access using their bug club login. Their username should be the first four letters of their first name and the first four letters of their surname. The password is: Offhampupil123

Many thanks for your support,

Miss Brady and Mrs Thomas
