Nursery in the Woods is an exciting weekly opportunity for pre-school children run in Offham Primary School's Woodland base by our trained Forest school teacher Mrs Terry
Outside of her teaching commitments at Offham, Mrs Terry (one of our Reception teachers) has been keen to explore opportunities to use our school woodland base to support and foster developmental opportunities for pre-school aged children within and around the Offham community. Therefore this term we are pleased to announce an exciting new extra curricular opportunity running at Offham Primary School.
Nursery in the woods runs from 9.00am - 10.30am every Thursday Morning. Suitable for 'walkers' to 4 year olds, the group meet weekly at the pedestrian entrance to the school grounds, before heading over to the hidden woodland base together. Mrs Terry has planned a range of fun sessions, each linked to a seminal text for pre-schoolers, which include fine motor, messy play and sensory activities, woodland crafts, role play, den building, outdoor cooking and of course, story time to finish.
Children should come dressed for muddy, grubby and sometimes wet adventures in our woodland base, welly-boots and plastic trousers are recommended. No other resources are required as everything else required is provided.
We hope to welcome you, and your pre-schooler, along to one of our sessions soon, a perfect way to find out more about us here at Offham Primary School and become part of our learning community from an early age.
