Homework

29.06.18

This week, we have been learning about mass. I would like the children to identify ten different objects in their house, estimate their mass (grams or kilograms) and order them from lightest to heaviest. Tell me how you came up with your guess. If you would like to weigh a few of the items after estimating, this might improve the estimates after.

15.06 - Shape Homework

This week, we have been learning about shapes and their features (right angles; acute and obtuse angles; horizontal and vertical lines; lines of symmetry; parallel and perpendicular lines; measuring lines).

For your homework, can you find at least 6 different shapes around your house. Draw them and describe all their features.

18.05.18 - Time

This week, as we have been working on time, I would like Green Class to put together a timetable of their weekend.

This can be presented your work however you would like but try to include two of the following for each activity: written times (e.g. half past three), analogue clocks, 12-hour digital time (e.g. 3:30pm) and 24-hour digital times (e.g. 15:30).

Answer the addition and subtraction questions using compact column method. If you are stuck with the method, use the help sheet.

CHALLENGE: Can you write appropriate word problems for the questions too?
